Personally
Ask God to guard your heart from allowing the familiarity of the season to cause you to miss the significance of Jesus’ birth. Pray for spiritual awakenings this Christmas to see the beauty of the Incarnation in fresh ways.
Corporately
Thank God for leading and providing for our church this year…for feeding us His Word through our pastors, for growing us in community with His people, and for providing us with His resources to be on mission here and around the globe.
Locally
Thank God for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and the work they do to help provide meals to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Ask God to provide for them so they might provide for our community during this holiday season.
Regionally
Pray for the growth of other gospel preaching churches in our area. Ask God to use the uniqueness of the Christmas season as a means of drawing people to Christmas services and programs—and that it will lead to more people planting themselves in gospel communities.
Nationally
Pray for the hundreds of volunteers who will organize and ship the millions of shoebox gifts all around the globe. Ask God to take our gifts and use them as a means of softening hearts to Jesus’ gospel.
Globally
Pray for our International Mission Board’s national Christmas offering. Ask God to lead Southern Baptist churches to generously give so that more missionaries are sent and more unreached peoples are reached.
